Ever since I heard about Guruji, I was very eager to see him. About four years ago, I heard from a friend about Guruji’s visit to a neighbourhood village for the Datta Bavani program, so I went to the village. Though, I was very keen meet him personally, I managed his darshan from far only.
On the same evening, while I taking prasadi, I was sitting next to a lady who seemed to know Guruji very well. Although I didn’t know her but out of my curiosity, I spoke to her and asked her few questions related to Guruji. She then narrated many spiritual incidences that she and other devotees experienced with Guruji.
Later, I found that her name is Induben. I must say that this was a brief but a life changing meeting with Induben. It was the start of my journey with Guruji. I don’t think this was co-incident. I felt a very strong desire to meet Guruji soon. There was something that attracted me towards him.
Since then taking help from Induben, I found out about Guruji’s itineraries and attended many of his satsangs. In January 2015, he came to a nearby town again and I visited him there. With his blessing, I was able to speak with him for the first time. It was such a special moment for me. I didn’t hold back and invited him to visit our village and then to our home as well. He replied with “Om! Om!”.
A few months later, my most awaited day arrived. On 16th February 2015, Guruji came to our village in the afternoon and graced our home as well. I was the happiest person on earth on that day. He stayed at our place for about half an hour. During that time, he chanted Gayatri mantra five times. As all-knowing as he is, he knew that we pray Gayatri Mata. Then we performed aarti before he left. Ever since his visit, I felt the atmosphere in my house has changed with lots of positive vibes.
As a true antaryami, he reads people’s minds quite easily. In India, I went for his darshan in Surat at Shree Vishwanath Avadhoot Ashram. I was sitting about twenty meters away from him in a large crowd. I was praying to him for his blessing and a few minutes later, I can see his hand raised towards me for blessing.
With his grace, I was very fortunate to be with Guruji during his entire visit to Australia in February 2017. I had many pleasant experiences during that time. During one of the satsangs in Melbourne, I was thinking that it would be nice if Guruji sings bhajan of “Maru man mor bani than ghat kare” and a few minutes later he just did that and looked at me with smile.
While he stayed at my son’s home in Australia, I woke up early in the morning every day. As a part of my morning rituals, I always sought to him for his blessings. Some days, I found him sitting on a chair in meditation and on other days resting on the floor appeared to be sleeping. But whenever I bowed to him in prayer, I heard an immediate response from him with chanting of “Om”. There are many experiences like this where he reciprocated my thoughts. He often says, his antennas are very powerful and detect everything that happens around him.
During Guruji’s visit, I slept for no more than four-five hours every day and I followed him everywhere so that I get to spend most of my time with him. My son was much worried about my health since I suffer from blood pressure, diabetes and back pain. He always reminded me to get more sleep and rest. But I resisted his advice saying “nothing can happen to me while I am with Guruji”. It was true. I was happy, healthy and full of energy despite only a few hours sleeps every day. His presence drove me and gave me the energy I needed.
It was my nature to worry about many things easily. Ever since I met him, my thinking process has changed for good and I feel very calm and relaxed. He instilled the necessary faith in me.
